A new report due to be formally released on Friday by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will reveal that the US and EU sanctions have failed to undermine Iran's nuclear progress.

The IAEA report will speak of Iran's strong progress in nuclear activities, AFP reported, and further quoted the IAEA report as saying that Iran has completed installation of 2,700 centrifuges at its underground Fordo plant, enabling it to speed up production of 20 percent pure enriched uranium.

The IAEA reported in August that approximately 700 of 2000 centrifuges were in operation.

Iran and the IAEA have agreed to hold further talks on 13 December in Tehran.

In separate, but related talks, top negotiators from Group 5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members - Russia, China, France, Britain and the US - plus Germany) are slated to meet in Brussels on November 21 to discuss Iran's nuclear case. The meeting will be a prelude to the possible resumption of talks between Iran and the G5+1 early next year.

Russia has recently called for immediate resumption of talks between Iran and the G5+1.

Russian sources announced on Tuesday that the country's Deputy Foreign Minister and Russia's Chief Negotiator in Iran-world powers talks, Sergei Ryabkov, is due to meet Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) and lead negotiator Saeed Jalili on Wednesday.

The sources did not mention the agenda of the meeting, but the differences between Iran and the G5+1 powers and the likely meeting between Iran and the six world powers are said to be a main topic of the meeting between Jalili and Ryabkov.
