The NAM members, in a statement, highlighted diplomacy and dialog without any preconditions as the means to allay the Western concerns over Tehran’s nuclear energy program.
They also called on the countries that claim to possess evidence of the possible militarization of Iran’s nuclear energy program to step forward and present their findings.
The United States, Israel, and some of their allies accuse Iran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program.
Iran has repeatedly refuted the Western allegations regarding its nuclear energy program, arguing that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it is entitled to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
The IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities, but has never found any evidence indicating that Tehran's nuclear energy program has been diverted to nuclear weapons production.
