An Iranian commander says the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces have the ability to disrupt enemy attack systems and control the battlefield.

“By designing suitable mechanisms and systems, the IRGC is able to disrupt enemy attack systems and control different operations,” Head of the IRGC's Command and General Staff College (DAFOS) Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan said on Sunday.

Nilforoushan added that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps is completely ready to defend the achievements of the Islamic Revolution in both smart and science-based wars.

“Enemies of the Islamic Republic have well realized that if they initiate any aggression against Iran, they will not be the one to end it and the Iranian nation will lay down their lives to defend their goals,” the Iranian commander said.

He also noted that the Zionist regime of Israel is already challenging with different economical, social, political and ethnic crises, and a possible war with Iran will only add to the usurper regime’s problems and destroy it from within.

The United States, Israel and some of their allies have accused Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program with Tel Aviv recently stepping up its threats against the Islamic Republic.

Iran rejects the allegations, arguing that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it is entitled to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

Despite Israel’s efforts to convince Washington of the necessity of a military strike against Iran, the White House has in several occasions announced that there remains “time and space” for diplomacy concerning Tehran’s nuclear energy program.
