“Iran exported 90,000 tons of goods and products to Iraq in the first 8 months of the current year in comparison with the 42,000 tons of exports in (the first 8 months of) the last year,” Deputy Head of Kerman Provincial Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Amin Qafarinejad said on Tuesday.
He reiterated that the value of Iran’s exports to Iraq amounted to $40 million in the said period.
Customs date showed that Iran exported over $24bln of non-oil commodities in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21- November 20) despite the US-engineered sanctions against the country.
According to the latest data released by the Iranian Customs Administration on Sunday, Iran exported $24.605bln of non-oil goods, including gas condensates, during the eight-month period, marking a 7.7 percent rise in weight compared to the corresponding period last year. The non-oil exports weighed 56.844mln tons.
