The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) Takfiri terrorists withdrew from their positions in Mourek town as army took control of a large number of their tanks in that area.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Kurds in the town of Kobani showed photos of a large number of corpses of the ISIL militants who had been killed in heavy clashes with Kurdish fighters.
During the last three days, the Kurdish fighters have been gaining more ground in the battle against the ISIL Takfiri militants in Northern Syrian city of Kobani.
Kurdish fighters gained grounds in the East and West of the Syrian border city on Wednesday. Later reports on Thursday and Friday said the Kurdish popular defense forces pushed back the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants for the second consecutive day in the Kurdish border town of Kobani.
The ISIL terrorists withdrew 4 kilometers from their positions in the besieged town of Kobani.
Yet, reports also said heavy clashes between Kurdish fighters and ISIL militants are underway Northwest of the city.
A local Kurdish official in Kobani, Asya Abdullah, said Kurdish fighters were advancing inside and outside the city.
Elsewhere in the country, a military source said that the army soldiers inflicted heavy losses on the rebels in the towns of al-Qaryatain, Nehliyeh, Bseeda and Maar Hattab towns in the Northern province of Idlib.
The Syrian troops claimed the lives of huge numbers of the militants, including a number of ringleaders.
Also, the foreign-backed rebels suffered heavy losses in Jobar, Harasta, Shafouniyeh, and Douma as the Syrian Army scored major gains against the armed groups and killed too many of them, including non-Syrians.
Among the dead terrorists were Khalil Sa’idat from Jordan, Mohammad Kuzbari, Fouad Qabouni and Louay Hamadi.
Elsewhere, the Syrian soldiers struck heavy blow at the rebels in in al-Waer, Talbisa, Jazl, Palmyra, Ein Hussein, al-Msheirfa, and Jabal al-Nuaimat in Homs countryside, killing and injuring a large number of them.
Also, the militants' hideouts were targeted in al-Bajabjeh, Sweidan, al-Taiba, Deir al-Adas, Atman, al-Saida and Daraa al-Balad by the army. Too many members of the armed groups lost their lives during the operations.
In Quneitra, units of the armed forces eliminated and injured too many rebels and destroyed a number of their vehicles in the areas of Um al-Ezam, Mas’hara, al-Alam, al-Ajraf, and al-Hamidiya in the countryside of the province.
Also, the army soldiers killed scores of the ISIL terrorists, among them non-Syrians, and destroyed their vehicles and weapons in al-Sina, al-Rushdiyeh, al-Hwaika, al-Arfi, Kanamat, al-Ardi, al-Jbeileh and al-Mrei’iyeh in Deir Ezzur city and its countryside.
