Negotiations between Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and US top negotiator Wendy Sherman will be aimed at narrowing gaps between Tehran and Washington over Iran's nuclear program.
Deputy Foreign Minister on Euro-American Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, Director of the Political and International Security Department of the Foreign Ministry Hamid Baeedinejad, Foreign Minister's Advisor Davood Mahammadnia, as well as two officials from Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Amiri and Pejman Rahimian are other members of the Iranian delegation.
A member of the Iranian negotiating team told IRNA on Thursday that Zurich talks are the continuation of Geneva talks, during which all relating cases will be discussed.
Helga Schmid, the deputy of EU Foreign Policy chief Federica Mogherini is also in Zurich to participate in the talks.
On Wednesday, in its latest report on Iran, the International Atomic Energy Agency reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has honored all its commitments under the Joint Plan of Action it signed in November 2013 with the six-nation group.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is currently in Davos to attend the 45th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum which opened in the Swiss city on Wednesday and will continue until Saturday.
