As regards Tehran’s stance on the Ukraine crisis, Zarif asserted that Iran has always supported a peaceful solution to the issue.
After nearly 16 hours of negotiations in the Belarusian capital of Minsk, the leaders of Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine on Thursday agreed a deal to end fighting in eastern Ukraine.
The Iranian FM referred to the agreement, and expressed the hope that it can lead to the cessation of hostilities, as they can have “very adverse consequences” for the global peace and security.
