Speaking in a meeting with visiting Secretary General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano, Shamkhani said that sustainability of any deal relies on the consent of the negotiating parties.
Shamkhani said that the specialized agency is expected to fulfill its technical jurisdiction in interaction with member countries.
He complained that political approach of the UN nuclear agency has breached the manifest status of the body losing its real standing.
He said that Iran interacts with all the international bodies based on the accepted legal regulations.
Referring to certain obstacles on the way of cooperation between Iran and the UN nuclear agency over the past years, Shamkhani voiced Tehran's readiness to closely cooperate with the IAEA to solve the outstanding issues.
He said that Iran would welcome any kind of proposal that would pave the way for progress of Iran's peaceful nuclear technology and unconditional removal of illegal and unjust sanctions on the country.
In the meantime, the IAEA chief said the existing concerns about the common cooperation were understandable.
Underlining the necessity for continued cooperation to achieve common solutions to leave behind the obstacles, Amano offered some proposals to resolve the differences and speed up cooperation between Tehran and the UN nuclear agency.
Amano is scheduled to meet with President Hassan Rouhani later in the day.
