Iran’s Trade Development Organization announced that during the first two months of the current Iranian year, started March 21, over 10.934 million tons of export commodities worth 5.39 billion dollars were absorbed in the Asian continent.
During the corresponding period a year ago, over 11.923 million tons of commodities worth 4.616 billion dollars were exported to Asia which shows that exports comprised 94.2% and 92.7% of the total exports during the period in terms of weight and value, respectively.
A comparison between exports during the mentioned period and the same period last year shows a decrease of 8% in terms of weight and an increase of 9% in terms of value.
European continent absorbed 342 thousand tons of Iran’s export commodities worth 242 million dollars which comprised 2.96% and 4.4% in terms of weight and value of the total exports during the mentioned period.
Iran’s export to the European continent within the first two months of the current Iranian year over the same period last year shows that exports decreased by 4$ in terms of weight but made an increase of 4% in terms of value.
The African continent in this period absorbed 279 thousand tons of Iran’s exports with a value of 106 million dollars.
In the mentioned two-month period, 373 thousand tons of Iran’s commodities worth 122 million dollars were exported to Africa which showed that the amount constituted 2.9% in terms of weight and 2.4% in terms of value of the total exports during this period.
Exports to the African continent showed a decrease of 25% and 13% in terms of weight and value, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Pacific continent absorbed 2 thousand tons of Iranian’s exports worth $3 million and the American continent 1000 tons of Iran’s export commodities, worth $3 million.
