Head of Industry, Mine and Trade in Hormuzgan Khalil Qasemi said on Wednesday that launching of sea route connecting Jask island to Sowigh led to shipment of the first no-oil consignment to Oman.

Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), he said the shipment comprised of 790 tons of tiles and ceramic worth $275,439.

The new shipping route helps increase volume of exports between Iran and Oman with the aim of boosting export of non-oil goods, agricultural products, dried fruits and other goods, he said.
