Ardakanian made the remark in a meeting with the Iraqi Electricity Minister Luay Al Khateeb in Tehran on Friday to sign three Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) for electricity cooperation.
He said Iran seeks to play a special role in Iraq power industry reconstruction.
The minister said a new chapter is now open in Iran-Iraq cooperation in the area of electricity.
He added that Iran is also ready to train Iraqi workforce in the electricity domain.
