Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday left the capital city of Tehran for Istanbul city in Turkey.

The top diplomat, heading a high-ranking delegation, is to pay a visit to Turkey to examine the ways for bolstering mutual cooperation on regional and international issues.

Earlier on April 20, 2020, the top Iranian diplomat visited Syria during the pandemic era.
