Iran has extended a ban on flights to and from UK until March 31, Iranian Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) said on Tuesday.

The spokesman for the CAO Mohammad Hassan Zabikhash told IRNA that the ban on UK flights that has been in place for three months was extended for two weeks, despite the Persian New Year holidays.

Iran put a ban on UK flights late in December due to the new coronavirus variant detected in the UK. The ban was once extended until mid-February.
