Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his visiting Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdymukhamedov participated in a ceremony on signing nine agreements on expansion of cooperation here on Wednesday.

The signing ceremony was held at the Saadabad cultural complex in north Tehran.

The documents on cooperation include economic, trade, cultural, environmental, scientific, and transportation issues.

After the ceremony, the two presidents attended a joint press briefing.

Earlier, the visiting Berdymukhamedov who arrived in Tehran at the head of a delegation on Tuesday (June 14) was welcomed by President Raisi a day later.

Turkmen president’s Tehran visit lasts for two days.
