President Ebrahim Raisi has said that no threat can sideline Iran’s missile and defense industries because this modern industry is indigenous and not imported from abroad to the country.

It was the correct path for the country to move toward self-sufficiency in missile and defense industries, President Raisi said in Tehran on Tuesday at the unveiling ceremony of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) hypersonic missile dubbed “Fattah”.

“Today, we feel that this deterrent power has developed,” the president said adding that such a power will bring about security and sustainable peace to the region.

In late May, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh had described the upcoming unveiling of Fattah as the development of a “significant generational leap” in the field of missiles.
