Secretary-General of Iran’s High Council for Human Rights Kazem Gharibabadi has stressed following up on the cases of victims of terrorist attacks and chemical weapons.

Gharibabadi underlined the fact that Iran is the biggest victim of chemical weapons in the world, adding that chemical weapons have killed more than 13,000 Iranians and injured 100,000 more, some of these veterans still suffer from chemical weapons effects and even lose their lives.

He hailed the good actions taken to depict the crimes against the victims of chemical weapons, and most of these efforts are done by NGOs.

He noted that 16 Western countries equipped Saddam's regime with chemical weapons.

The legal, judicial, and international follow-ups of the cases of chemical attacks and terror victims are very important, he said adding that a lawsuit has recently been filed in The Hague.
