The Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia’s Football Federations have reached an agreement to repeat the canceled soccer match between Sepahan and Al-Ittihad in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League.

The Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad refused to play Iran's Sepahan on October 2 and the match was cancelled.

The match was set to be held at Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium in Iran’s central city of Isfahan where approximately 60,000 fans gathered to watch the Asian Champions League clash between the two teams.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian announced that Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to repeat soccer match between Sepahan and Al-Ittihad in a proper time.

Iran and Saudi Arabia's Football Federations have submitted the application to repeat the cancelled match, and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Disciplinary and Ethics Committee has yet to decide on the issue
