The Iranian U17 National Football team has come third in Group C of the World Cup, hosted by Indonesia, with 6 points to advance to the knock-out stage.

In their third match, which took place on Friday, Iran triumphed over New Caledonia 5-0, marking a significant victory. Earlier in the competition, Iran had managed to defeat the title holders Brazil 3-2 in a thrilling first match. Their second match, however, ended in a 2-1 loss to England, with a goal scored in the 90th minute.

From Group C, England, Brazil, and Iran had 6 points and advanced to the next stage. Iran stood third due to goal difference.
