According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, In the women’s 41kg category, Zahra Pouladi delivered an outstanding performance by lifting 65kg, 69kg, and 70kg, defeating her rivals from Uzbekistan and Iraq to secure the gold medal and Iran’s first title of the Games.
In the 45kg weight category, Mahdieh Ehsani, the other representative of Iran’s women’s para powerlifting team, successfully lifted 45kg, 56kg, and 59kg, surpassing competitors from Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia. She topped the podium in both the youth and junior age groups, winning Iran’s second gold medal in the girls’ division.
These two gold medals marked Iran’s first medals at the 5th Asian Para Youth Games in Dubai, representing a promising and confident start for the national delegation and the country’s women’s para powerlifting team.
