The logo of the Iranian Space Agency and an Iranian knowledge-based company have been installed on the Russian Soyuz launch vehicle.

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, The logos of the Iranian Space Agency and Omid Faza Company have been mounted on the body of the Russian Soyuz rocket. Three Iranian satellites—Zafar-2, Paya, and the second prototype of the Kowsar satellite—are scheduled to be launched into low Earth orbit (LEO) on December 27 from Russia’s Vostochny Cosmodrome using this launch vehicle.

The satellites are Earth-observation platforms designed for imaging purposes. Their satellite data will be used primarily in agriculture, helping farmers monitor land and crop conditions, forecast weather patterns, and make more informed decisions on irrigation as well as fertilizer and pesticide use. The use of such data is expected to reduce losses caused by drought and pests, enable more rational crop pricing, and improve productivity and profitability in the agricultural sector.

According to available information, the three observation satellites have successfully completed testing, been integrated with the launch vehicle, and—along with other payloads—are ready for launch on Sunday at 16:48 local time.

The installation of the Iranian Space Agency and Omid Faza logos on the Russian launch vehicle carries multiple symbolic and practical implications. It represents national technological progress and Iran’s growing capabilities in the space sector, demonstrating that Iranian-built satellites have been successfully prepared for launch aboard an international rocket. The logos also clearly identify ownership and responsibility for the satellites, ensuring recognition in international media coverage and technical reports.

The presence of these markings in an international launch strengthens Iran’s credibility and visibility in foreign space cooperation, while also serving as a source of motivation for domestic engineers and scientists to formally and publicly register their achievements. In addition, the logos play a role in technology marketing, showcasing the capabilities of Iranian knowledge-based companies and potentially opening new opportunities for international cooperation and future investment.
