Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi spoke by phone with his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, discussing bilateral relations and regional and international developments.

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, Araghchi highlighted the peaceful protests in Iran that were violently exploited by foreign-trained terrorist elements, emphasizing the Iranian people’s unity and determination to protect national sovereignty and independence.

He strongly condemned the provocative and interventionist policies of U.S. officials in Iran’s internal affairs.

India’s Foreign Minister stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and affirmed the need for collective efforts to preserve regional stability and prevent escalation of tensions. He stated India’s readiness to cooperate and assist in this reg ard.
