Technical assessments suggest that, if current conditions persist, international internet access will be fully restored nationwide within 24 hours. The internet disruption began on the evening of Thursday, January 18, following coordinated attacks on a number of government, law enforcement, and administrative facilities. Officials cited security concerns and efforts to prevent the spread of unrest as the reason for the shutdown.
