Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, met in Tehran with Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, to discuss recent regional developments and ongoing efforts to reduce tensions.

According to Khabaronline, According to a statement by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was held as part of continued regional consultations aimed at preserving peace and stability in the Middle East. The two sides underscored the importance of political and diplomatic dialogue as the most effective path to resolving disputes and preventing further escalation of crises.

During the talks, the Qatari prime minister reaffirmed Doha’s support for all initiatives aimed at de-escalation and peaceful solutions, stressing that lasting regional stability can only be achieved through dialogue and cooperation among countries in the region.

He also highlighted the need to prevent the negative consequences of heightened tensions from being imposed on regional populations and emphasized safeguarding the interests of Middle Eastern peoples.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani also met with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, during his visit to Tehran, exchanging views on current developments and ways to strengthen regional security.

The meetings are seen as part of broader regional diplomatic efforts to manage crises and reduce tensions.
