Iran’s president has said there are encouraging signs in the course of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington, noting that the process could help ease tensions and remove key obstacles facing the country.

According to Khabaronline, Masoud Pezeshkian made the remarks on Wednesday during a provincial visit to Mazandaran, speaking at a meeting with investors and economic stakeholders in the province.

He said Iran has been actively pursuing diplomatic engagement in recent months, noting that relations with neighboring countries have improved and efforts are underway to further strengthen regional and international ties.

Referring to the upcoming indirect talks between Iran and the United States, scheduled to take place on Thursday in Geneva, Pezeshkian stated: “We see a promising outlook regarding the talks.”

He added that Abbas Araghchi is set to attend the Geneva meeting, stressing that the negotiation process has been carefully managed under the guidance of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to help move the country beyond what he described as the prolonged state of “neither war nor peace.”

The Iranian president emphasized that success in this diplomatic track would make it easier to remove economic barriers and create a more stable environment for investment and growth.
