Iran earned over $29bln from exporting non-oil commodities to the foreign markets in the first nine months of the Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 20, 2013).

According to the latest data released by the Iranian Customs Administration, Iran exported $29.24bln worth of non-petroleum goods, including petrochemical products, during the nine-month period, marking an 11.8-percent rise in terms of weight from the previous year.

Petrochemical products accounted for more than $8bln of the country’s overall non-oil exports.

Iran also exported $6.363bln of gas condensates and $14.761bln worth of other goods during the same period.

Iron ore, methanol and urea were Iran’s main exports respectively valued at $1.33bln, $877mln and $866mln.

The non-oil exports weighed 65.999mln tons, which were mainly exported to China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, India and Afghanistan.

Iran exported over $21bln worth of non-oil commodities in the seven months through October 21, indicating a 7.5- percent rise in weight year on year.

The non-oil exports weighed 49.325mln tons.
