Germany eager to boost trade with Iran: German official

Economy - Germany's state of Rhineland-Pfalz is eager to boost economic relations with Iran's Alborz Province, a German local official said on Monday.

Director General on innovation department of the economy ministry of the German state Rhineland-Pfalz Joe Wingarten said that the state is eager to establish economic relations with Iran, including Alborz Province.

A 12-member trade delegation from Germany is visiting the province.

'There is much interest in boosting trade ties with Iran, and we try to contribute to the relations,' he said while visiting an exhibition on manufacturing, industry and service capabilities of the province.

Referring to the nuclear deal between Iran on one side and the world major powers on the other, he said that the deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is a good basis for cultivating the future trade relations between Iran and Germany.

Experts and officials of some companies on trade and legal consultations, home appliances, electronic systems and automation are members of the German local state delegation visiting Iran.

Rhineland-Pfalz is the main German partner of Iran on export of industrial infrastructure.
