Iran is to sell 10% of the swapped power with Armenia to Georgia and the agreement will be signed soon, said the director-general of Iran's National Gas Company.

'Armenia produces electricity and delivers it to Iran in return for the natural gas it receives from Iran, a part of which may be sold to Georgia,' said Hamid-reza Araqi.

He said that the negotiations have been done to sell the electricity to Georgia, adding 10% of the bartered power will be sent to Georgia.

Based on an agreement, Iran sends more than one million square meters of natural gas to Armenia and receives electricity in return. Iran exports gas to Iraq and Turkey, and swaps gas with Azerbaijan Republic.
