Releasing an announcement, Iran Hajj Organization stated that a Saudi Institute which is in charge of issuing visas for Umra pilgrims has stopped the work not only for Iran, but for some other Islamic countries.
Starting June 20, Saudi Arabia's hajj authorities stopped issuing visas for some Islamic nations' pilgrims including Iran's.
Iran's Hajj Organization says it hasn't been able to get information from its Saudi counterpart about issuing of the visas from June 20.
It appears that those pilgrims who have their visas can go ahead with their trip but the departure date may change. About 4,500 Iranians leave for their hajj every day.
Saudi Arabia's Hajj ministry says it's looking into the matter.
