A senior Iranian diplomat expressed optimism about the prospects of talks between Iran and the world powers, and described diplomacy as the only way to settle Tehran's nuclear issue.

"The only option capable of problem solving in nuclear dispute between Iran and the West is the diplomatic one, and that is through pursuing the negotiations' process," Iranian Ambassador to Vienna Hassan Tajik said in an interview with the Austrian news agency (APA).

He expressed hope that a diplomatic solution to the nuclear dispute would be sought in the course of the ongoing talks between Iran and the six western countries.

Tajik expressed optimism about the process of Iran- Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, Britain, France, China and Germany) negotiations pursued in Baghdad, Istanbul and Moscow.

Iran and the Group 5+1 have held several rounds of talks this year, including two days of negotiations in Baghdad in May and a one-day meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, in April.

Iran and the G5+1 held their latest round of crucial talks in Moscow last month.

In Moscow Tehran's envoys presented undeniable proofs and evidence of Iran's entitlement to the right of nuclear enrichment.
