Since Eid Al-Fitr and its special prayers is an occasion for Muslims to forget further unity, leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has waned Muslims of a plot to sow division among the Islamic Ummah;
Ayatollah Khamenei also said Islam’s enemies are using sophisticated tools to achieve their goals. He also hailed the public for the massive turnout on the International al-Quds Day across the world. He said the occasion keeps the Palestinian cause alive and will have significant implications for the future of the Muslim world.
During the fasting month of Ramadan Muslim believers refrained from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk in order to feel the thirst and hunger of the needy and the poor and in other words purify their souls by distancing themselves from worldly wishes.
Therefore, Eid al-Fitr is a time to give out charity to those in need, and celebrate with family and friends.
Iran has declared two days of public holidays due to the importance of this great occasion, while the festivities will continue for several days in many Muslim countries.
They offer their gratitude to God and ask for peace and blessings for people worldwide.
To Muslims, Eid Al-Fitr is a chance to celebrate the completion of another fasting month, seek blessings and forgiveness, and look forward to the opportunity to fast again the following year.
