The World Trade Organization (WTO) ranked Iran as the 23rd world exporter after the country registered 30% growth in exports.

Iran's exports have increased 30% and its imports grew only 5% in 2011, said the report, adding that the volume of its exports equals to 0.9% of the total world exports.

The WTO also reported that Iran has exported $131bln worth of oil products and non-oil goods to other countries.

Iran exported $50 billion worth of non-oil products in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2011 to March 19, 2012).

Iranian officials have underlined that the country plans to increase its non-oil exports to over $70bln in the current Iranian year.

Late in December, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad lauded the country's growing non-oil exports, and said Iran's non-oil exports would equal its imports in the current Iranian year.

"God willing, non-oil exports will equal (Iran's) imports by the end of 1391 (march 19, 2013)," he said, adding, "That would be a great revolution in the country's economy."

Iran also announced in June that it will increase its crude oil exports to 3 billion barrels per day by the next three years.

Managing-Director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Ahmad Qalebani announced that Iran is determined to boost its oil extraction by 28 percent in order to produce 5,122,000 barrels of oil per day by 2015.

According to the planning, Iran's daily oil exports should rise from the current 2,280,000 barrels to over 3 million barrels, he added.

As regards gas production, Qalebani said Iran is planned to produce 1.47 billion cubic meters of gas every day by 2015.
