Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the world nations are thirsty for justice and equality which of course can be easier materialized through boosting interaction and understanding among the followers of different religions.

In a Friday message to the 10th International Zoroastrians Congress held in India, the Iranian president said that Today's world is more in need of coexistence among various faiths and religions.

He added that solidarity and understanding among the followers of various faiths and religions is a necessity for neutralizing the evil efforts aimed at inciting sectarian strife among people.

He called on the followers of all the religions to stand united and shun divisions.

The pre-Islam faith of Zoroastrianism is one of three recognized minority religions in the country together with Christianity and Judaism.

Iran is the birthplace of Zoroaster, the prophet of Zoroastrians.
