A powerful dust storm has rolled across the Iranian capital and its suburbs once again after another freak storm had ripped through Tehran earlier this week.

The storm brought winds measuring at 85 kilometers per hour at around 19:15 local time (1445 GMT) on Friday.

At least 14 people have been hospitalized with injuries as a result of the tempest.

Combined with heavy rain and lightening, the strong winds damaged a number of urban structures and broke trees.

On Monday, a rare mega storm roared into Tehran, killing at least five and wounding tens of others.

The incident brought down trees, damaged dozens of vehicles, caused temporary power outages in some districts and triggered several chain accidents across the capital city.

The Monday storm also disrupted several flights at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport before it died down in less than an hour.
