Senior Iranian parliamentary officials warned the states sponsoring the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) that supporting the terrorist group will eventually leave its negative consequences for the patron countries.

"The fire lit up by the US and its allies will soon inflame the countries masterminding the plots," Chairman of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said, addressing Parliament's open session on Sunday.

He noted that the ISIL supporters will soon see the negative effects of their supports for the terrorist group.

On Sunday, Chairman of Iran's Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani underlined that the ISIL is a plot hatched by the West, specially the US.

"The ISIL's acts of terror target the entire region," Hashemi Rafsanjani said.

He noted that the hidden hands are supporting the ISIL terrorist group and they have created a very complicated situation in the region.

Hashemi Rafsanjani noted that certain regional countries and outsiders have created the ISIL.

He pointed to recent developments in Iraq, and said, "The movements and acts of the terrorist group in Iraq are very serious and requires deep study and vigilance."

Earlier this month, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki vowed to defeat the ISIL terrorists, as thousands of Iraqis are flocking to volunteer centers across Baghdad to join the fight against terrorists.

"Samarra will not be the last line of defense, but a gathering point and launch pad," Maliki said, addressing military officers in the city.

"Within the coming hours, all the volunteers will arrive to support the security forces in their war against the gangs of ISIL. This is the beginning of the end of them," Maliki, said in comments broadcast on Iraqi television after he travelled to Samarra Friday.

Nearly 1.5 million Iraqi citizens have volunteered to join the country’s armed forces to confront foreign-sponsored ISIL terrorists in their bid to destabilize and take over parts of the nation.

Iraqi authorities stated that people were rushing to recruitment centers to sign up for the fight against the Takfiri insurgents.

The volunteers consist of people from all ages and even include retired officers.
