We are opposed to any disintegration of Afghanistan and we support integrity of that country and also welcome the peace efforts made internationally to create stability in Afghanistan," Velayati said after a meeting with Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) Ján Kubiš in Tehran on Saturday.
"I reminded the UN representative that the Afghan nation will never bear the presence of the foreigners in their country, and that Iran supports whatever the Afghan nation desires," he added.
Velayati said all the foreign forces will soon pull out of Afghanistan because of the nation's dissatisfaction and opposition to their presence.
Iran is one of the most important donors to Afghanistan, which has kept its promises to help to the reconstruction of the war-ravaged country.
Iran has built several roads, power transmission lines, border stations and many other infrastructure projects to better link the two nations.
Iran has also contributed more than $50mln annually to Afghan anti-narcotics efforts during the last five years.
In late January, Iran and Afghanistan signed an energy cooperation pact to further strengthen their cooperation in the electricity and water sectors.
Under the deal, the Islamic Republic will export more electricity to Afghanistan’s western provinces of Herat, Nimrouz, and Farah.
