Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn said Iran, as a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), has the right to advance its nuclear program for peaceful purposes.

In a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, Asselborn underlined Iran's right to use peaceful nuclear energy like other member countries of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

He further expressed hope the Iran and the six major world powers would cut a final deal before new deadline, November 24.

On Monday, Zarif underlined that the country will continue talks with the world powers to restore its right of using peaceful nuclear technology and remove the sanctions.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran intends to hold negotiations, establish the nuclear rights of the Iranian nation and remove the illegitimate and illegal sanctions," Zarif said in a meeting with the Belgian parliament speaker in Brussels.

Zarif arrived in Luxembourg on Tuesday to discuss the latest developments on regional and international scenes, and explore news avenues for promoting ties with the Northwest European country.
