The Al-Nusra terrorists were pushed back from Tal Al-Safa region in Al-Qalamoun in Damascus countryside.
A notorious commander of Al-Nusra Front named Abu Ra'ad was among the terrorists killed in Al-Qalamoun region.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Army inflicted massive losses on the terrorists in the towns of Erbeen and Zamalka in the countryside of Damascus, leaving scores of them dead and wounded.
Also, the Syrian Army destroyed the strongholds, vehicles and machine-guns belonging to the militants in the area.
Meantime, the Syrian troops made major advances in the areas of Sasa', Ghouta, Hatitat al-Jarash, Bala, al-Jarba, al-Qasimyeh and Qalamoun, killing and injuring scores of the rebels.
Also the village of Kifr Hor, Southwest of Damascus, was stormed by the army during the operation.
Elsewhere, the Syrian Army stormed the hideouts of the armed groups in Quneitra and Homs provinces, and killed large numbers of militants in a series of successful operations.
The army soldiers inflicted major losses on the foreign-backed rebels in the areas of Tal Krum Jaba, Um Batina, al-Hamidiyia and Tal Mas’hara in the Southern province of Quneitra, destroying a 150-meter long tunnel built by the militants.
Also, the militants sustained heavy toll in the districts of al-Sultania, Salam Sharqi, Salam Gharbi, Palmyra, Wadi al-Kahif , Hassia, Beer Jazel, Haql al-Shaer, Jazal, al-Tafha, Dweizin, Hwasysis and Jibab Hamad in Homs province.
Meantime, the militants suffered heavy losses in al-Zakat, Ersal, and al-Qalamoun areas, as the army gained ground in Damascus nearby areas.
The Syrian Army intensified its operations against foreign-backed militant groups in Daraa province, inflicting heavy losses on the rebels.
The army soldiers stormed the hideouts of the rebels in the areas of al-Sheikh Miskin, Ibta’, Da’el, Tal Hamad, Daraa al-Balad, al-Medjaneh, and al-Jeilieh in the Southern province of Daraa, leaving scores of them dead and injured.
Meantime, fierce clashes continued unabated between Kurdish forces and Takfiri ISIL militants in Syria's Northern town of Kobani, which has been under siege by ISIL for nearly two months..
Kurdish fighters advanced against ISIL terrorists in some parts of Kobani and gained more ground following clashes with the extremists.
"Our fighters are focusing on advancing in areas towards the center of the town, and hopefully in the coming days, we will be able to announce larger advances," Idriss Nassan, a senior Kurdish official in Kobani, said.
At least 13 ISIL militants and six Kurdish fighters were killed in the fighting, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
The UK-based group also added that two civilians lost their lives in ISIL shelling on a refugee camp in the Western part of the town.
Syrian Kurdish forces backed by Iraqi Peshmerga fighters have been fighting to drive the ISIL terrorists out of the border town, most of whose residents have escaped.
Around 150 Peshmerga forces, armed with heavy weaponry, including anti-aircraft machine guns and mobile rocket launchers, entered Kobani in over a dozen trucks and jeeps last Friday from Turkey to join the anti-ISIL fight.
Referring to Turkey’s role in the fight against Kobani, Mimi al-Laham, a political commentator form Australia, said that ISIL commanders believe turkey is on their side, and US officials also confirm this.
"The United States has become more and more open about the fact that Turkey has been helping ISIS (ISIL)."
Kobani and its surroundings have been under attack since mid-September, with the ISIL militants capturing dozens of nearby Kurdish villages and killing hundreds of people. More than 200,000 people have also fled across the border into Turkey.
Also, the so-called US-led coalition forces conducted airstrikes against ISIL leaders near the Northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
According to unconfirmed reports published by Saudi newspaper Al Arabiya, ISIL Leader Ibrahim al-Samarrai, also known as Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was "critically wounded," and several other senior leaders were killed in the attack.
