Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said Takfiri groups are sowing discord among Muslims and creating tensions in Islamic countries.

He made the remarks in a meeting with his Yemeni counterpart Yahya Ali al-Raee in Djibouti. Larijani is in Djibouti City to take part in the opening ceremony of the country's new parliament building.

He said Iran has always tried to help calm down the situation in Yemen while Takfiri groups and extremists are trying to create discord among Muslims.

It should be noted that the current clashes are not between Sunni and Shiite Muslims as the Takfiri terrorists are killing Sunni Muslims as well.

Referring to the key role of the Yemeni parliament in promoting stability in the country, Larijani said the involvement of Zionist lobbies and Americans could be easily tracked in Yemen developments.

Stressing that Zionists equip and provoke Takfiri groups, the speaker said any possible differences in views among Muslims should not lead to bloody clashes.

Ali al-Raee, for his part, said the present situation in the region calls for Iran's approach towards settling regional disputes.

He said factional clashes are too dangerous for the Islamic community, adding that Washington is responsible for massacre of Muslims.
