Speaking to reporters after cabinet meeting, Tayyebnia said anti-Iran sanctions were aimed at paralyzing the economy and to bring the Iranians to their knees.
'Fortunately with the measures taken (by the government) during the past two years, including stabilizing the market, reining in inflation and fulfillment of economic growth, major powers realized that they could not impose their demands (on Iran) through sanctions,' Tayyebnia said.
He said the nuclear deal reached between Iran and the six world powers and the subsequent removal of sanctions on the country in the future will pave the way for further economic progress.
