Raisi: Global arrogance sows discord to dominate over Islamic countries

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has said that global arrogance is seeking to dominate the region and Islamic countries by sowing discord and spreading terrorism, hatred, as well as hegemony.

Addressing the ambassadors and chargés d'affaires of Islamic countries on the eve of World Quds Day in an Iftar banquet on Thursday evening, President Raisi described strengthening ties with neighboring countries as one of the fundamental policies of the country.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran stresses cooperation with all neighbors and Islamic countries, and the priority of its foreign policy is to foster constructive engagement and advance common and mutual interests with Islamic countries.

Naming foreign interference as the great problem of the region and Islamic countries, he noted that if Islamic countries themselves were responsible for the countries, they could easily resolve inter-regional and trans-regional issues by exchanging views and understanding.

He further noted that foreigners consider their policies, views, and interests to be above the interests of Islamic countries and never think about securing prosperity and solving the problems of the people and Islamic countries.

Global arrogance does not want Islamic countries to cooperate with each other, and by no means likes closeness of Islamic countries, because their interest are in sowing discord and spreading terrorism, hatred, as well as establishing their ow hegemony, he underlined, adding that the interests of Islamic countries are in real cooperation and interaction with each other.
