During a phone call late on Thursday, Araqchi expressed deep concern over recent events in Syria, including Israeli attacks on the country, and actions against Lebanon, as well as the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

He called for concerted action by regional countries to counter the war-mongering and expansionist policies of the Israeli regime, which he stated are disrupting the stability and security of the region.

Abdelatty, for his part, reiterated Egypt’s stance in supporting Syria’s territorial integrity and preserving the rights of all minorities.  

He also emphasized Egypt’s opposition to efforts aimed at the disintegration of Syria.
