Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, have discussed the latest regional and international developments.

On Monday, Araghchi had a telephone conversation with Abdelatty to discuss regional and international developments, particularly the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the expansionist policies of the Israeli regime, which include massacres and the forced displacement of the people in Gaza.

Both sides emphasized the need for serious action from regional countries and the international community to stop the genocide and ensure that the perpetrators are prosecuted and punished.

They also discussed Iran’s nuclear program and emphasized the importance of respecting the rights of all member states of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) to the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

The two sides highlighted that the members of the United Nations Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have a clear responsibility to promote diplomacy and prevent further complications related to Iran’s nuclear issue.
