The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a statement announced that the "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty" between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation, which was signed on January 17, 2025 by the presidents of the two countries in Moscow, came into effect on Thursday.

The statement said the conclusion of this treaty reflects the will of the leaders of the two countries to deepen relations and strengthen ties in all areas of interest to the two countries, based on mutual respect, good neighborliness, and the common interests of the two nations.

The statement continued that Iran-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty is a turning point in the history of relations between the two countries and promises to enhance the level of friendly relations between the two countries in various areas desired by the parties.
