According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, Mohammad Mudassir Tipu, Pakistan’s Ambassador in Tehran, shared the update in a post on the social media platform X, noting that the expanded flight schedule is intended to facilitate travel and strengthen economic and cultural ties between the two neighboring countries. He expressed hope that improved air connectivity would contribute to the growth of commerce, tourism, and broader public interactions between Iran and Pakistan.
According to the details released, the flights link major cities including Tehran and Mashhad with key Pakistani destinations such as Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and Islamabad. The routes are operated by several Iranian airlines, including Iran Air, Iran Air Tour, Taban Air, and Mahan Air, with some services offering same-week or same-day return options to provide greater flexibility for travelers.
Regional observers view the expansion of direct air links as a practical step toward reinforcing neighborly relations and easing logistical barriers between Iran and Pakistan. As two important countries in South and Southwest Asia, enhanced air connectivity is expected to help advance cooperation in trade, religious tourism, and wider economic engagement.
