Iran Arrests Seven Alleged Members of US- and Europe-Based Opposition Groups

An informed source at Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence announced the identification and arrest of seven individuals allegedly linked to opposition groups operating in the United States and Europe.

The source further stated that approximately 100 smuggled handguns were discovered and seized during the operation. The weapons had reportedly been brought into the country under the guise of cross-border porter goods, and the individuals involved in their illegal importation have also been identified and detained.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the primary mission of these individuals was to incite violence and unrest during protest gatherings, an act described by security authorities as a direct threat to public order and national security.
