The Latest Status of Iran’s Cooperation with IAEA Inspectors

Behrouz Kamalvandi, the spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), recently clarified the current level of engagement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

According to Khabaronline, Emphasizing adherence to the "Suspension of Cooperation" law and the directives of the Supreme National Security Council, he detailed the following points:

​Prohibition of Access to Damaged Sites: Kamalvandi explicitly stated that, based on the Supreme National Security Council's decision, IAEA inspectors have been denied access to damaged areas and facilities.

​Continued Routine Access: He further noted that, conversely, inspectors have been granted access to required information and sites in areas that have not sustained damage.

​Emphasis on Legal Framework: The AEOI spokesperson highlighted that all inspections and restrictions are directly influenced by parliamentary laws and the National Security Council’s policies, forming the basis of Iran's interactions with the Agency.
