Iran’s Oil Sales Hit Record High

Iran’s Oil Minister, Mohsen Paknejad, stated that oil sales over the past 14 months, through export shipments, have reached record levels.

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, Speaking at a cabinet meeting, Paknejad said: “The oil sales process continues as before. Perhaps the media does not focus on the oil sales mechanism because foreign actors—those seeking to harm Iran’s national interests—listen in and identify our advantages in oil sales.”

He added: “We hope one day we can explain these processes so you understand how our sales team skillfully and wisely sells oil, and so our people need not worry.”

Paknejad emphasized: “Our oil sales volumes over the past 14 months, through export shipments, have set a record.”

On new restrictions on Iranian oil sales, he said: “Recent tariff measures, or even snapback and the mechanism, do not pose serious obstacles to our sales processes. Our oil sales team is professional and has long dealt with such challenges, knowing well how to manage and circumvent restrictions.”

In response to questions about anti-revolutionary efforts to incite oil sector workers, Paknejad said: “Our valued colleagues in various oil sectors stand with the system. Some people have economic concerns, which must be heard, and we, as officials, will support them as much as possible.”

He added: “What we’ve seen in recent days is not protest, but chaos. People don’t damage their own property or harm themselves. Those who committed such acts under the guise of protest and injured people are clearly not ordinary citizens. These actions are tied to projects with foreign roots.”

The minister said the number of casualties in the oil industry was not high. “Reports I’ve received show a few colleagues who were at their workplaces when a group of rioters and saboteurs entered some oil industry buildings.”
