Araghchi Discusses Iran Unrest with Egyptian Foreign Minister

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelati on Wednesday evening, discussing regional and international developments.

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, Araghchi detailed recent events, explaining how peaceful protests were violently escalated by violent elements affiliated with foreign actors, resulting in casualties. He briefed his Egyptian counterpart on foreign interference and the orchestration of unrest.

He strongly condemned provocative statements by U.S. officials, considering them blatant interference in Iran’s internal affairs.

Araghchi emphasized the Iranian nation’s vigilance and unity against recent terrorist incidents and reiterated Iran’s commitment to defending its national sovereignty and security against foreign malice and interference.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister expressed regret over the terrorist events, highlighting the importance of close consultations and joint efforts by regional countries to strengthen stability and security in the region.
