According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, The Public Relations Office of the Spokesperson for the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister—currently on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates—received a call from his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
According to the official statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, Araghchi and Ishaq Dar exchanged views on the evolving geopolitical landscape and global challenges.
Iranian Minister Araghchi expressed Tehran’s gratitude for Pakistan’s “firm support” at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. He specifically thanked the Pakistani delegation for their call for a vote and their decision to vote against a resolution targeting Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Minister further conveyed his appreciation to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, as well as the government and people of Pakistan, for their consistent stance.
