On his path to the final, Esko defeated opponents from the United States, Egypt, Hungary, and Georgia, demonstrating consistency and high technical quality throughout the tournament.
In the same weight category, Iran’s other representatives, Amirmehdi Saeedi-Nava and Ahoura Boueiri, were eliminated earlier in the competition.
Meanwhile, on the opening night of the event, Iran’s Greco-Roman team also celebrated further success, as Erfan Jorkani won a gold medal and Meysam Delkhani claimed bronze in the initial weight classes, marking a strong start for the Iranian squad at this prestigious international tournament.
